Fresh herbs add a nice touch to this turkey meatloaf.
Ingredients:
1 lb. lean ground turkey (e.g., 99% lean)
1/3 C finely chopped sweet onion
1 T tamari or soy sauce
1/4 C Italian seasoned panko
1/4 C egg white
1/4 t dry ground mustard
1/8 t garlic powder
1/8 t celery seeds
Dash cayenne pepper
1 T white wine (optional)
Finely chopped herbs:
1 T chopped fresh flat parsley
1 1/2 t chopped fresh sage
1 t chopped fresh oregano
Pam
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix turkey with tamari, panko, dry mustard, celery seed, garlic powder, pepper, egg white, and wine until thoroughly blended.
Add and mix in finely chopped herbs.
Spray baking loaf pan with Pam. (You may use a meatloaf baking pan that has a lining which allows fats to drip to the bottom. If so, spray both the pan and lining with Pam to make clean up easy.)
Place meatloaf mixture into pan and lightly pat down to level top.
Bake 35 – 40 minutes, checking at 30 minutes. Meatloaf is done when top and edges are lightly browned.
May be served with turkey gravy or other sauce of your choice.
